A large part of my theatre career has been in puppetry. For many years I performed the British Victorian tale of Punch and Judy. Here are a few of those hand puppets that were performed from a one person puppet booth.

The original photo shows my father and his children. It was only after he died in 1997 did we all come to learn that our eldest siblings, Paul and Tina, were not in fact his children, hence why they do not appear in the original photo. I decided to include them in the photo by recreating the scene with my fellow class mates at the University of Minnesota. Their names are as follows:

Back row: Bobby, Tony, Patsy, Paul, Linda and Tina.

Front row: Debbie, Mum (holding) Cherie, Jean and Dad.

Using a papier-mâché technique with plaster and linen strips, I like to experiment with creating sculpted paintings. I enjoy playing with the mixed media and the dimensionality it brings to the painted surface.
